After five years, I finally stepped my feet on Kota Tua, one of the most famous tourist destinations in Jakarta. I went there to accompany my students who join English Club; their mission was practicing English by having conversation with foreigners.
Although it was a very short journey, it did satisfy my curiosity of this place. Here are the(ir) photos!

After their 'hunting' and practicing English, I asked them to take pictures with the foreigners and we had sharing sessions right after we got together. They got some experiences, such as:
*They got rejected- not all foreigners are willing to spare their time talking to students who would like to practice English. It might be because they're busy and we must understand that, for sure.
*They were nervous at the beginning-very normal, especially for those who have never had a conversation with English native speakers- but then some of them are 'addicted' and tried to speak to more foreigners.
*Tips for learning English- they said they got some tips of learning English; the same one that I always tell them: just speak and PRACTICE.
*"Saya orang Indonesia!"- my students started the conversation in English but it turned out that the person they're talking to is Indonesian 😄
Hopefully, today's experience will lift their spirit (of learning English) higher; encouraging them to be able to speak English much better.
P.S. I did want to share the details of our journey; but.. maybe later.
